Clallam County Homeless Outreach was formed in 2012 to promote activities in support of the homeless and those at risk of homelessness within Clallam County, WA.
Clallam County Homeless Outreach (CCHO) is a 50l (c) (3) organization which is 100% volunteer based. We had about 90 volunteers help in our function this past year. As a 100% volunteer based organization, we are in need of financial donations from our local community in order to support this timely and helpful event. Donations are utilized to cover costs of hygiene care items, food, eye glasses, ID cards, driver’s licenses and event facility fees.
We also accept a wide range of in-kind donations to make this day a success. Stay-tuned for our wish list or contact us at [email protected] if you have inquiries about specific needs.
We deeply appreciate your consideration to help make Community Resource Connections a success for 2020.
- Communities throughout the nation conduct Project Homeless Connect events at various times during the year. Community Resource Connections, formerly known as Clallam County Project Homeless Connect, will be held in our community this coming year on March 6th at the Vern Burton Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Community Resource Connections is an annual one-day event that provides a one-stop opportunity for those who are experiencing poverty, housing insecurity, homelessness or otherwise are experiencing barriers to accessing services for one's livelihood. Service organizations and agencies providing aid gather in one location to give information, help people connect with resources and receive care in a variety of ways.
- In 2019 we had 45 service organizations that set up tables and serviced 311 people. These included: housing and employment consultations, veteran’s assistance, driver’s license vouchers, legal consultation, clothing, haircuts, medical exams and emergency dental extractions to name a few. Hot breakfast and lunch were served. All services were free.
